Introducing Merilyn Kana

Merilyn joined Salt Employee Benefits as a Specialist: HR & Communications in December.

Let’s dive straight in. What did you do before Salt EB?  

I have a BCom Honours: HRM and a Certificate in Sage 300.

My experience includes consulting to executives and leaders on key workforce challenges and guiding line  managers on addressing and resolving staff conflict. I also championed a new employee forum which provided the opportunity for them to be involved in organisation and change decisions.

What attracted you to Salt EB?  

I could relate to the company values. Also, my line manager’s passion for HR was infectious and the way  that she spoke about growth and development in her department was compelling!

A few months down the line, are you still so enthused?  

Yes, there are many opportunities in Salt EB and I’m already enjoying participating in management and  organisational decision-making.
